Senior Accountant Specialist German speaking (m/f/d)

As Senior Accountant Specialist, you will play a central role in managing accounts payable and receivable across multiple countries. Reporting directly to the CFO based in Switzerland, you will oversee accurate financial transactions, reporting, and compliance processes. You’ll also act as a key liaison for internal departments and external tax consultants, ensuring financial data integrity and timely submissions.
Profile & Tasks
Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, with strong understanding of financial processes
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex financial data
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and European financial legislation
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- High profuciency in German (spoken and written)
- Advanced user of ERP finance modules (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
- Hands-on mentality and proactive work style, while also capable of working independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration
- Organized and detail-oriented with a structured, autonomous approach to work
Tasks
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate tracking of financial transactions
- Use accounting software to reconcile bank statements, process invoices and payments
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records (ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, inventory data)
- Support daily, monthly, and annual accounting processes including reporting, budgeting, tax preparation, and audits
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to verify charges and ensure timely payments
- Discuss account statuses, discrepancies, or billing issues with clients
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure correct and timely tax filings
- Oversee accounting operations for Germany, Spain, UK, Switzerland, USA, and more
